Sabine
Sabine founded Over the Moon in 2016 after working in fashion as a product developer and buyer for years.
“While planning my own wedding, I found what I was looking for in organising weddings. For me it’s the perfect combination of being able to help people, using my creative, planning & organisation skills and entrepreneurship.”
Since 2016 Sabine has been organising more than 60 weddings and while she worked hard on growing her company, her own family grew as well; she is a mom of two daughters.
“Becoming a parent showed me even more that spending time with your loved ones is the most important thing. That’s why I love creating an experience where we thought of every step to create an effortless experience where you and your guests can really enjoy the day to the fullest.”
Sabine now lives in Heemstede, which is in between the sea and cities like Haarlem & Amsterdam.
“I lived in Amsterdam for 15 years and when I am there, I feel like I am at home. But I also now really enjoy spending time in the beautiful nature we have here and in summer we go as much to the beach as possible.”
Tara
Sabine and Tara met as co-workers when they were working at eyewear company Ace & Tate and have worked together ever since. After Over the Moon was founded, Tara joined numerous weddings to assist with the styling, creation and graphic design. Although she always had different design and branding jobs on the side, she’s now fully focussed on the creation and organisation of each event.
“What I enjoy the most is to help couples bring their love story to life within the events of the day. As a creative with a background in styling and work experience in (graphic) design, I find it important to create a cohesive experience, focussing on the big picture, as well as the little details.’’
With a love for typography and print, Tara additionally designs wedding stationery. From a save the date, official invitation or dinner menu, to a fully custom goodie bag, she has an eye for paper goods.
“I have a soft spot for simplicity and aesthetics with an elegant touch. My inspiration comes from the vibrantness of the city and calmness of nature. Each has their own uniqueness, same as that each wedding has its own personal story to visualise.’’
