WEDDING Léahnan & lars

14 June 2019, Zwolle
Ceremony at Park Eekhout: 32 guests
Church wedding at Plantage Kerk: 160 guests
Reception and dinner at Statenzaal: 32-160 guests
Party at Vishay: 80 guests

Léahnan & Lars got married in Zwolle, their hometown. One of Léahnan & Lars their wishes was to have a special location for their wedding; a location with character which wasn’t necessarily a wedding location. They found a nice place in Zwolle, but unfortunately a few months before the wedding, this venue went bankrupt. Not the ideal scenario and also not the most stress free one. But luckily it turned out the right way when Léahnan & Lars used all their local contacts to find a new solution for their day.

And what kind of solution; I must say it was a bit of a logistic puzzle sometimes, but in the end we managed everything perfectly.
Léahnan & Lars started their day at the Pillows Hotel in Zwolle. Here they had their first look, captured by Jeroen Noordzij. After their first look they went to Park Eekhout together where they waited for their guests and welcomed everyone before they started with the ceremony.
For the ceremony they came up with a little surprise for their guests; in secret, one of their best friends became an “officiant for one day” meaning he was officially marrying them. It made the ceremony fun and intimate.

After the ceremony we had some drinks and bites in the park before everybody went on a boat to go to the Plantage Kerk for their church wedding. For their church wedding, Léahnan & Lars invited much more people; we went from 32 guests to 160 guests. The Plantage Kerk is a beautiful church in the centre of Zwolle. We didn’t need any styling, except for some greens and white flags. After the church wedding, everybody went to the Statenzaal; a beautiful historical venue just around the corner of the church, for champagne and cake (which was almost too pretty to eat).

After saying goodbye to more than 130 people, we had an intimate dinner at the Statenzaal. For the dinner table we kept it quite minimalistic but warm. The wooden tables looked beautiful with the white plates, linnen and greens.

For the party, the vibe was totally different. Léahnan & Lars chose Vishay (a former factory of Philips) as their party venue. Super industrial and a venue people wouldn’t expect for a party. Also a venue which was a bit challenging since it was 6000m2 and we only needed space for a party with 80 people. But with the right styling and the right music it was a memorable party.
